The company was founded in 1967 as a family business dedicated to the production of racing horseshoes, and later became DB HORSECARE in 1994, when Alessandra, raised in the tradition of Italian farriery, decided to broaden its horizons to the international market.
She began importing Made in USA products that had never before been introduced in Italy, in addition to the (few) already known ones, allowing Italian farriers to work according to modern, international standards.
In the 2000s came the experience with the production of trotting horseshoes under the Equiria brand, which received widespread approval in the industry thanks to meticulous design based on hundreds of interviews with key professionals in this field.
The company is still family-run, which makes it possible to maintain exceptionally high service standards in terms of speed, accuracy, and customer care.
The future of DB HORSECARE is already taking shape with new and innovative products currently being researched and developed by Luigi, an engineer and Alessandra’s husband, who has gained extensive hands-on experience by working with farriers throughout much of Italy and across many equestrian disciplines for more than 30 years.
