SLIM Model
The distinctive feature of this horsepad is its reduced thickness: only 2/2.5 mm! It is especially useful when the hoof needs to be insulated from aluminum horseshoes.
In fact, some chemical interactions between the hoof wall and aluminum can in some cases cause the crumbling of the horn material. The reduced thickness of the pad helps avoid excessively increasing the bulk of the shoeing, especially when using thick aluminum horseshoes.
Rivets for pads
An aluminum rivet has been designed with a pointed tip and flat head, with a diameter slightly smaller than 4 mm to avoid having to change the drill bit when switching operations. The material is a malleable yet durable aluminum alloy that prevents bending during insertion, ensuring a stable connection between the metal and the pad.
